Back in August, I had the pleasure of photographing Isaac’s sister’s wedding that you all saw the blog post for earlier this month! His fiance, Madison, approached me that day and told me that they were looking for a photographer and enjoyed my work. We met a few weeks later after they had settled on a date and they were all ready to go. She had talked about doing their engagement photos up north or somewhere unique so I mentioned that we love traveling to the Traverse City area multiple times throughout the year. Then her idea was born of being photographed in a vineyard. I reached out to multiple vineyards in the area, with many wonderful responses, we settled on Bowers Harbor Vineyard. I had been once before so I knew it was a beautiful location and I couldn’t wait to meet them up there!
It was a chilly and slightly cloudy day but the rain had held off for us. We met out at the vineyard where we were able to utilize much of its beauty during this lovely fall day. The couple brought along their little pup, Hans, who just so happened to run off on us during his close up. Luckily Isaac was fast enough to catch him and we all had a good laugh! He just wasn’t so sure of getting his first photo taken. Walking through the vineyard you could overlook the rows of grapes and see into the bay. It was beautiful! These two were so much fun to work with and I cannot wait for their big day. The love that they share is definitely something special!
Thanks you to Bowers Harbor Vineyard for allowing us to use their location and of course tasting some of their delicious wine and cider!
Thanks for reading!
