Studio D2D Wedding | Lindsay and David

Last June we had the opportunity to photograph a Studio D2D wedding. Lindsay and David’s wedding was gorgeous at this beautiful venue. They had a getting-ready suite for each of them and it was set up perfectly. The bridal suite was complete with makeup stations by the windows, changing rooms, and a lounging area for her friends and family. The grooms had mirrors, hanging rods, and lounging furniture while they relaxed and awaited the time for photos to begin.

Upon arrival, Keysha and I split up like we usually do. I was able to photograph Lindsay and her bridesmaids getting ready while Keysha stuck with David and his groomsmen. It works perfectly having two photographers at this venue and I highly recommend! We were able to capture some beautiful detail shots of the decor and venue setting before it filled up with guests as well.

David and Lindsay did not do a first look so we patiently awaited the ceremony so they could see one another for the first time. Lindsay’s dress had a gorgeous fluffy train unlike any other wedding dress I’ve ever seen. It flowed seamlessly through the aisle and she looked like a Disney princess! This wedding was so beautiful and full of so many great emotions, you could truly feel the love in the air.

The Studio D2D wedding venue isn’t far from downtown Grand Rapids. Once the ceremony was over, we finished some group portraits and family portraits and made our way down to the Downtown Market area. This area is the perfect spot for some intimate portraits of our couples, plus all of the city folks and market goers tell you congratulations everywhere you go so that’s always a fun plus! I love the looks that this area gave us with some nice industrial backdrops but also some more neutral greenery tones from the trees lining the sidewalk. Plus that wall at the parking lot across the street is absolutely amazing.

The grand entrance was spectacular. The couple was introduced and had their own cute little sweetheart table at the middle of the room. They decorated it perfectly and you could see the view of the city behind them even on a cloudy day. Their guests were surrounding them with the center being open just enough for a fun-filled first dance. These two were able to enjoy their evening, dancing the night away with their friends and family!

We had such a blast with David and Lindsay! Their wedding was perfect in every way and we wish them all the best as they travel into this next chapter of their lives.

This Studio D2D Wedding Venue is hosting an open house on February 25th from 5:00-8:00 PM. Stop by and see what their venue has to offer and all of their amazing preferred vendors. Come say hello to us! We will be in the loft portion of the venue. Check out more info on their Studio D2D Facebook page.
