Marian and Chase both grew up in Portland and have known each other for years. On August 16, 2025, they officially tied the knot in their hometown at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Portland, Michigan. The day was full of laughter, love, and celebration with their closest family and friends.
We started the day at Marian’s parents’ home, where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. I arrived just in time to capture the finishing touches of her hair and makeup. I also photographed her dress before she headed to the church to put it on. Their family dog, Charlie, even made a quick appearance during the morning.
After getting ready, we made our way to the church. Chase and his groomsmen were already there and ready for photos while Marian slipped into her dress. Saint Patrick’s is a beautiful church and makes a stunning backdrop both inside and outside.
The ceremony was perfect. Afterward, we captured a few family photos at the altar before heading to a local Portland park for more portraits. The newlyweds had a party bus waiting to take their wedding party for a ride through some backroads between the ceremony and reception. We made a stop at Marian’s sister’s house to capture some fun group photos before everyone headed off to let loose for the evening.
The reception was held at the KC Hall, which was decorated beautifully from top to bottom. It was the perfect place for Marian and Chase to celebrate and dance the night away with their family and friends.
It was an honor to be part of their wedding day.
