Tamie came in for her consultation and knew exactly what she wanted out of her family portrait session. We had decided on the Ionia State Park for our location and we were able to get that beachy summer look she wanted. During her planning consultation, we had discussed doing a more candid approach to her session, she didn’t want the poses to be too stiff so we took that and ran with it! We had a ton of fun gallivanting around the Ionia State Park beach area and the pictures are here to show for it.

Tamie’s decision for doing some family photos came because she was going to have all of her babies in the same spot at the same time, and for the VanNorman family, that doesn’t happen very often! It was the perfect opportunity to capture some memories that will last a lifetime for this family. I was honored to be a part of it! For a family that can be a little more spread out accross the country and even the world, when they’re together it’s like they’ve never been apart. They were so much fun to work with and you could just tell that they were having fun themselves.

It was a fantastic evening out at the Ionia State Park. The weather was absolutely perfect coming in at about 73 degress and there were some beautiful clouds floating through the sky. Literally a perfect evening for a photo shoot, we couldn’t have asked for better weather! The kids all enjoyed it too and I loved watching the cousins interact with each other!

I truly couldn’t have asked for a better evening out with this awesome family! Now that they’ve been able to see their images, I am excited to be sharing them with the rest of the world.
