In mid-March this past year my husband and I, with the help of my parents and especially my grandparents, purchased a building at 415 West Main Street. We are naming the building New Bailey Place after an old hotel that once resided on our Main Street in Ionia and of course it works out because of my last name.
Our studio, Brick Street Studio will call the front half of this building home for many years to come. It is a magnificent space and perfect for our art of photography and honestly, any other art form. We want to open up our doors to the art community in Ionia, and beyond, giving space for creatives to rent/use for whatever kind of art form they might take part in. If you’re an artist looking for a large or small space to work, this space is perfect. We have a designated corner for our Design Studio where artists can come in and use the space for drawing, painting, etc. We offer two different small workrooms for privacy and of course our main studio portion up near the windows for all of your photography needs. We will also be offering different workshops in a lot of different areas of the art world. Any suggestions are welcome and hopefully, we will have a Wine and Canvas coming soon! Rental rates are available and can be customized to suit your needs.
This space offers so much more for our client’s needs as well! It gives off a nice ambiance during our gallery reveals and allows us to work with any size project you could throw at us. We strive in giving our clients a more personal approach to their photography experience. This space helps us take our studio to the next level including client closets, styling appointments, in-depth client meetings and more. We are beyond excited to share with you all what we have coming up in the world of Brick Street Studio!
Stop on down to check out our space, even to just say hello! Our new studio hours are 11-4pm Tuesday-Thursday, and by appointment on the weekends.

I enjoyed checking out your space, including the renovated space upstairs. It is beautiful. I have fond memories of going downtown every Friday night and shopping with my Grandma Balice and being in this space (formerly A&P) with her as she purchased groceries and especially smelling her Five o’clock coffee beans grinding. Best wishes for much success.
Thank you Toni! We enjoyed having you here at the opening and love hearing about the history of this building. Its an amazing building that I’m sure has some amazing stories to be told.
