Mya came in with a vision for her senior session and wanted some downtown Grand Rapids senior photos at night. On top of that she wanted some out in an open field and we were able to bring both of these options to life for her. We started Mya’s session out at the Ionia State Recreation Park walking through the tall grassy fields and enjoying the sunshine. You never know what the weather is going to be like during our Michigan summers but this was the perfect night. She had 2 outfits for this first half of her session and they complimented the location beautifully!

Grand Rapids Senior Photos at Night

Once we finished out at the state park we headed toward downtown Grand Rapids. We met in front of the Amway Grand, and started our treck around the city. These Grand Rapids senior photos are some for the books! Mya rocked this session and brought some amazing outfits to bring out the personality of herself and the city. One of my favorite things about a downtown Grand Rapids photo shoot is the variety of backdrops within a small radius. We’re able to walk down Monroe Center and find multiple stops along the way. We always bring our pop up changing tent and wagon so we don’t have to spend time looking for bathrooms. This makes switching outfits a total breeze!

After we all got our steps in and walked all over the city, Mya’s senior session was complete. We loved finding some unique spots around the city to compliment her personality and otufits. I think her vision of nighttime senior photos was brought to life!
